I’m unsure exactly where I went wrong but I ended up with a soupy mess. I ended up tossing it all. A real waste of good cheese! I won’t make this again.
My family loved it and it was so easy to make. I made it with parmesan chicken so I added a little bit of parmesan cheese to it
I used a russet potato sliced thin on a mandolin. One large potato worked for 3 of us, using half the other ingredients. I also added some thinly sliced onion between the layers of potatoes and took the cue from another reviewer to just mix the flour into the milk. I cooked in individual Lodge ceramic baking dishes, and the cooking instructions worked perfectly. I love recipes like this that are easy and use ingredients I always have on hand.
This dish came out perfect! It was scrumptious and the presentation was very nice
Yummy
This was pretty good. I made it as written except I didn’t have slices so I used a couple handfuls of shredded. Also, as many commenters posted, I mixed the flour and milk together, then poured it over the potatoes.
whoops, my bad, forgot the flour
Made it liked it said. Turned out really good.
It was very easy. We liked it but it wasn’t as creamy as I expect. Will definitely make it again.
Absolutely amazing!!!! I adored it. Although I did forget to grease the pan!
Lacks flavor and 45 minutes wasn’t long enough cooking time. It needed to cook for a minimum of 1 hour even though I used 6 medium potatoes. I added granulated garlic, dry minced onions and no-salt seasoning to each layer, which really helped bring out flavors.
Turned out great! So easy and good.
I used Mozzarella and Monterey Jack cheese! I also used seasoning salt, pepper, and garlic! ??
I had already boiled some potatoes so it did not take much time at all to bake this recipe! Loved it!
its in oven right now ,really hate wasting any food, fingers crossed
Yeah this is a fantastic recipe. Super solid.
Your recipe is perfect as is. Having been around a while (29 and holding, lol), I tweaked it. But your recipe is a great time saver and great just as it’s written. Thank you for sharing.
I wish i would have read the reviews first. The flour didn’t mix and it needed more milk. There was no sauce whatsoever.
A little. My sons don’t like onions, which I do. So I used onion salt & parsley flakes. Yum!
Be sure the mix the flour and NOT sprinkle. It won’t mix and your left with white clumps floating in cheese grease. But all in all tasted great after scooping it all out while it cooked
I had to cook the potatoes for an extra hour and a half to get them done. my family was starving by that time. I make them with shredded? cheese instead. I put garlic and onions they were amazing. I think next time I will turn the temp up and stir them in between. thank you
