Simple, yet elegant. Perfect for company.
This was delicious!! Only change I made was to omit crackers (didn’t need/want them). Will definitely make again! Used cooking wine & it really added to flavor!!
I made this almost as written. I didn’t have lemon pepper or lemon but I had lime. Used lime zest and pepper. This was a amazing and we all loved it!
Came out delicious!
Awesome!
Flavor was great but I overcooked it. I need to pay attention to the time!
Delicious!
This was delicious. Will definitely make again! I left off the cracker crumbs (personal preference) but otherwise followed recipe exactly.
Next time I’ll leave the crackers out, and I think it would’ve been more to my taste with balsamic vinegar rather than white wine.
I will try again and will follow the recipe next time. I made this with what I had on hand and didn’t love it. I used yellow onions, pinot Grigio (too bitter) and panko bread crumbs. I promise to make again as directed and hopefully it will be better and I’ll rerate it.
Great recipe! Like others, I left out the cracker crumb topping and exchanged the white wine for white grape juice with a splash of lemon juice and vinegar. I also cooked the spears 5 minutes longer, and used powdered parmesan instead of grated as it was on hand. My family loved this dish, and it was very quick and simple to make!
This is going to be a routinely cooked recipe! Is’ simple & delicious. I did not have enough asparagus so I added some fresh French cut string beans. Was great!!
Followed the recipe to a T….okay, minus a little lemon since so many had used it with luck…it was sensational!
This is easy and fabulous. I left out the cracker crumbs, you really don’t need them. I substituted sherry for the white wine and shallots for the onions because that’s what I had on hand. Delish!
I have not made it yet, but this is the recipe that my aunt made the one night when I was at my grandmother’s house, and I have been searching for it with a broken link in my email, but now that I’ve found it with the website, keywords, and title of the recipe via a search engine on the internet, I can actually wow her with the recipe and 1 her up by making it even richer than how she made it!!!
Probably didn’t follow times suggested. Browned onion and garlic. Cooked asparagus until tender. Didn’t add cracker crumbs. Otherwise followed directions. Absolutely the best asparagus I’ve ever tasted!
This was so delicious! Like others, I did not use crackers but I did add bacon bits. Wow, I could make a meal of this alone!
OMG, this is so awesome! I changed the recipe a bit as I’m allergic to onions. I substituted diced celery and added match stick yellow bell pepper. It was the best asparagus I ever had!
This was great! Loved, loved, loved it. I didn’t have the lemon pepper on hand, but used some “lemon zing” dip spice that’s been kicking around in my pantry. Forgot about the cracker crumbs, I’ll be making it again tomorrow evening, maybe I’ll use the crackers then, although it was fabulous without! 🙂
Was never a big fan of asparagus but this recipe is changing my mind.
This is absolutely the best asparagus recipe. Wish I could give it 10 stars!
