Citrus Steak Marinade

  4.5 – 2 reviews  • Marinade Recipes

With flavors of citrus and spices, this is a fantastic marinade for steak. Be mindful of how long the steak is cooking because the sugar can burn quickly on the grill.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. 4 cups pineapple juice
  2. 1 cup orange juice
  3. ¼ cup white sugar
  4. ¼ cup steak sauce (such as A.1.®)
  5. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  6. ½ teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Whisk pineapple juice, orange juice, sugar, steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ginger together in a bowl until evenly combined.
  2. Pour marinade into a resealable plastic bag. Add the steak (preferably rib-eye), coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator, rotating after 2 to 3 days, until steak is fully marinated, 4 to 6 days total.

24 hours was plenty of marinade time for me. This was good but I will definitely reduce the amount of sugar next time if not leave it out altogether. Super tender and juicy but just a little too sweet for me.
