Reviews
I really enjoyed this flavor mix. I even winged it, putting too many carrots in, and having too ripe pears, so the consistency was not the best, and we still liked it! We ate this as a side dish, but I also topped some cooked peas and corn with this mix, and found it all to compliment each other quite well.
I ALWAYS STEAM my veggies, especially the ones like Carrots. It keeps the good stuff included from washing away. I do not use any sugars in my cooking. The Cinnamon is always good, as it prevents your sugar intake from spiking. I use it instead of salt at the table. So, there it is. Came out good enough to eat, and tasted like carrots and whatever fruit you decide to use. A keeper.
I’m not a fan of cooked carrots, but this came out very well. It had a nice, sweet flavor. I did cook it a little longer than stated and added a little extra water during the cooking procedure, but that was the only change.
