Ingredients

  1. 10 cups broccoli florets
  2. 2 (14.5 ounce) cans cream-style corn
  3. 1 egg, slightly beaten
  4. ½ teaspoon salt
  5. ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  6. 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  7. ¾ cup crushed buttery round crackers (such as Ritz®)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix broccoli, corn, egg, salt, and pepper in a 3-quart casserole dish.
  3. Mix crushed crackers and butter together in a small bowl; sprinkle over the broccoli mixture.
  4. Bake in preheated oven until the crackers are golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes.

I used fresh broccoli florets and used the exact size dish and the broccoli was practically raw so not sure if you need use frozen broccoli instead. Also, as the other reviewers have noted there ALOT of flavor missing in this dish. I added garlic powder and it still didn’t turn the dish around. I will not be making this again.

Add some shredded cheese to the egg, corn Broccoli mixture. Very good!

I cooked this on the stove. Boiled the brocolli and added it to the rest of the ingredients. I added a little cayenne pepper and powdered garlic for flavor. I also topped it with shredded cheddar cheese. Cheap, quick, and tasty meal.

So decided to try this dish. Got it together and realized I did not have crackers. I used roasted garlic and sea salt chips. Very tasty! Will do it again using the actual needed ingredients. Thanks for posting this.

We liked this dish very much, I cut the recipe in half. I think when I make this again I will try using both cans of corn it wasn’t corny enough for me.
