Very simple. Appreciated the addition of a bay leaf. I added chopped parsley and chopped toasted almonds. No leftovers to put away after dinner!
Quick and easy … Added chopped fresh beans and spinach
I doubled the onion, and followed everything else exactly. Tasted great!
This is an excellent recipe. I have made pilaf with onions, but the addition of a bay leaf elevates this recipe to a whole new kevel.
Made this tonight as shown kids and husband loved it !
Delicious – no need to change anything. Works well for jasmine rice also.
Amazing basmati rice recipe! Flavorful, fragrant rice 🙂 will definitely make again
Adds a nice, smoothly textured touch to the every-day side of rice.
This is a quick and delicious side dish good for any meal.
Love this recipe it’s quick, and easy to make and has a great flavour. I have added different veggies each time I have made it and each time it turns out great
So simple and so good!
Good.
I made no changes and, yes, I will make many more times. So much flavor and so easy. Yummy!
I followed the recipe and we enjoyed it. I’d make it again.
We loved this simple rice! No, it’s nothing major as far as flavor goes, but it’s just enough to take it up from plain and bland. I served this with our favorite red curry chicken…perfect! A keeper for us~YUM! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
This is a very simple and quick to make side dish for a weeknight meal. I used 3/4 cup rice and 1/4 cup orzo, and subbed butter for the vegetable oil for added flavor. The taste and texture were perfect.
This is really good and a perfect accompaniment to grilled meat. I used vegetable broth. The bay leaf really adds a lovely dimension. Thank you for the recipe.
Super easy and delicious. I chopped up some mushrooms and added them. So good!
Yum! Everyone liked! Used jasmine rice instead of basmati. Doubled recipe for 4 of us and no leftovers. Saved a step by not heating up chicken broth and used 2 c of broth (as liquid amount on rice directions) instead of the called-for doubled amount of 1 1/2. Added margarine when added broth. Simmered for 20 min.
awesome dish
I thought it was great but my mom thought it was bland. My husband gobbled it up. Two out of three people means it’s good by me. I’ll definitely make again.
