Enjoy this quick and tasty fruit dip. The kids adore it and it’s a perennial favorite! Serve the dip with a variety of sliced fruits and snacks. My family enjoys eating pretzels, raisin bread, grapes, apples, strawberries, cantaloupe, and muffins.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped cooked bacon
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
- 1 medium head cabbage, cored and quartered
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
- Mix bacon, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper together in a bowl. Set aside.
- Lay each cabbage quarter on a sheet of aluminum foil that is large enough to wrap it up. Pour bacon sauce evenly over each quarter to cover; wrap in foil until completely sealed.
- Roast in the preheated oven until tender and heated through, 20 to 30 minutes.
- Feel free to grill these instead of baking, using the same temperature and method.
- If using fresh cooked bacon bits you can include some of the bacon grease as well if you love bacon like I do!
- Himalayan pink salt also goes well in this.

Reviews
I was expecting to like this more because I’m a huge fan of all the ingredients, especially cabbage and bacon! We found that there wasn’t really much flavor and had to add seasonings to the finished product. We could not taste the bacon at all, or any of the other ingredients. I also found the bacon to have an unappetizing appearance since it essentially ends up “steaming” in the closed up foil packets and gets soggy. To note: I did add some bacon grease, as suggested in the recipe notes, and I cooked these on the outdoor grill. If I were to make this again, I’d definitely double the bacon sauce mixture.
