Reviews
My kids ask for it every thanksgiving!
this recipe is amazing! my husband requests them atleast once a week
I agree with another review. Sugar and green beans do not go together. My sauce also got hard but I heated it back up. I’m giving three stars instead of two because they went well with my barbecue meatloaf.
Everyone loved it. Even my 13 year old son who doesn’t like vegetables. Followed directions exactly and it turned out great.
This is great. Some times I also sauté some fresh mushrooms and some chopped onions in the bacon grease and then Drain it all and then mix the bacon, onions and mushrooms with the beans and butter and brown sugar mixture. If I am taking it to a party I put it in the crockpot.
Tasty !
Lord jesus this was awesome. What was even more surprising, is that they were even better the next day after sitting in the sauce! Yaaaaassss!
Never been a big fan of frozen green beans but figured I’d gave this a shot. They turned out ok, might try this again but with canned green beans instead.
Simple, good, and sweet. Substitute dairy free butter and this is gluten free and dairy free.
I’ve made things several times and it comes out very tasty. However the last 2 times I’ve accidentally caramelized the sugar! I’m thinking I should let the frying pan cool down more before adding the butter and sugar….still yummy ??even with the mistake.
These are wonderful!!!
I made these per the recipe with the exception that I used some of the bacon drippings instead of the butter. My family really liked these.
Instead of regular bacon I used real bacon bits. Just as good and easy to fix.
This is an awesome recipe ~ but warning…Don’t overcook the butter/brown sugar mixture b/c it will thicken to a consistency which is not usable. I had to throw out my first batch b/c this mixture had hardened. I’m so glad that I retried it though b/c it came out perfect & so tasty. I cut the recipe in half due to the amount of people I was serving & per other reviews, I steamed my green beans (which came out perfect) & added garlic and red pepper flakes. This will be the only way I serve green beans in the future ~ So Yummy!
Everyone loved it
‘Twas good. ‘Twas better the next day.
A friend fixed these for Thanksgiving dinner and they were marvelous! I went back for seconds, took the left overs home and I don’t even like green beans!!!
super easy and yummy! i added some garlic powder and cut back on the sugar because i don’t like veggies to be to sweet, but these were delicious!
I really liked how simple and delicious this is. Hubby loved them! Bonus! I used fresh beans this time. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as written.
used fresh green beans, delicious. Could consider a little less bacon if needed Used 1/2 bacon and still good
I was looking for a shortcut option to the baked recipe. I added garlic powder. Easy and tasty!
