Air Fryer Mustard-Crusted Brussels Sprouts

  4.5 – 11 reviews  • Brussels Sprouts

Smoky Brussels sprouts with a mustard coating, air-fried. These go well with chicken, pheasant, duck, or geese, but I prefer to serve them with grilled pork chops.

If you have an air fryer, try these. If you don’t have an air fryer, get one and try these. They make for a great veggie side. That said, the recipe cooks them too long, at least in my fryer. I’d cut it all by about two minutes, making sure to leave a tablespoon of water in the fryer before you start. Still, that change doesn’t knock me down from a five-star rating. I make these regularly enough for people, and they ask about whether they’ll be available in advance. Strong recommend.

I liked this recipe, but my husband didn’t. I loved the char on the outside; my husband didn’t. I cooked them 7 minutes, shook the pan, and then might have cooked them 1 more minute.

My brussels sprouts were small and very tender and came out of the fryer at 9 minutes. Popped a couple in my mouth while I was finishing the rest of the meal, and they were so good that by the time dinner was plated, the side dish was just a little smaller than it should have been. I could see serving these as a snack, not just a side dish. Loved the char on the sprouts, loved how quick-and-easy this is to make, and loved the taste. Good stuff!

Perfect for beginners! Very easy to make! I added about a 1/2 teaspoon of Trader Joe’s Onion Salt to the original recipe. For my birthday my husband bought me an Emeril’s 360 French Door Air Fryer. I lined the baking sheet with foil and place the Brussels Spouts on top. Set my air fryer at 390 degrees and cooked for 8 minutes. The Brussels Sprouts turned our perfect.

These were really yummy! I don’t have an air fryer, but really wanted to give this recipe a try. So I baked them in for 25 minutes at 400 degrees. They turned out great! Perfect combination of flavors with a nice tang from the mustard. This would be a great holiday side dish!

Delicious! I could probably have eaten the whole batch by myself! The extra crispy bits are the best part. I took them out at 10 minutes as I tend to like my veggies a little more crisp. Nice tang from the Dijon mustard. So easy to just throw in the air fryer instead of roasting in the oven. I’ll be making this often!

These are addictive! Mine were done after about 11 minutes. I served these with some leftover cheese sauce that I had on-hand. Tasty all by themselves, but also really good dipped in the sauce. I’ll make them again.

The recipe was easy to follow and quick to make, but the flavors seemed muted to me so I probably won’t make this again without adjustments. If you prefer your veggies to pack a flavor punch I would recommend more paprika, salt, and pepper, and maybe even a drizzle of mustard after they are out of the fryer. Be wary of any loose leaves since those tend to burn while the halves are still cooking, but once mixed in they add a nice caramelized bitter flavor that my husband enjoyed.

I really like these! I have made them twice, once with Dijon and once with stone ground mustard because I was out of Dijon. Dijon was much better, but both were good. I will make these again in the future because they are simple and yummy! My air fryer cook time was about a minute less per side, you just have to watch them. Thank you for the great recipe!

This recipe popped up on my feed yesterday and I was lucky enough to have a bag of Brussels sprouts handy. Wow, this recipe is great! The flavors are perfect and well-balanced. The cooking process mellows the mustard flavor, which compliments the roasted Brussels sprouts nicely. The smoked paprika was very subtle. Prep time was about 5 minutes and the cooking time was perfect (preheated air fryer). We served with kielbasa and pierogies, which was a great combination. We could eat this every night. Highly recommended recipe.

We did like this one but needs something to go wiith. I have to tune time and temperatures to perfection.
