Ingredients
- 4 to 5 pounds boneless short ribs
- 2 pounds bone-in short ribs
- Oil, for cooking
- 3 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion
- 3 ounces tamari sauce
- 3 ounces Worcestershire sauce
- 2 ounces white vinegar
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
- 1 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Chop the boneless beef into 2-by-4-inch pieces. Chop the bone-in beef at the bone segments. Brown the pieces of beef on all sides in a small amount of oil in a pan to seal the flavor in. Transfer the browned meat to a large oven-safe pot.
- Mix together the ketchup, onion, tamari, Worcestershire, vinegar, brown sugar, mustard, granulated garlic, pepper, salt and 3 cups water in a bowl, then add to the pot. Make sure all the meat is coated with the sauce. Cover with foil or a lid and braise in the oven until the meat is easily separated with fork and tender, 3 1/2 hours or longer.

Perfectly sticky, salty & Sweet
Didn’t have tamari so I used a Sesame Teriyaki sauce. Added some teriyaki & garlic mushrooms. Served on white rice. I would add pics but I don’t have any options
