Some of the Caribbean islands, including Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, are huge fans of this cuisine. Even while the recipe is generally the same, each island adds a unique flavor note. This recipe is typically served in my household with white rice, a salad, and fried plantains.

Added some bell pepper and boy they were good!!!!
Very Good! Next time I might cut back a little on the worstershire sauce, like maybe use 1 1/2 tbsp.
Used Italian bread crumbs, then used the Panko and dredged them in it and fried, made the outside more crispy.
This recipe was SO easy! Plus it was fantastic in flavor. The Dijon mustard did the trick! It is a keeper.
Wow!!! My husband is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to salmon – much less from a can, but – we had ourselves two cans “gifted” to us and I needed to figure out what to make with them. Found this. Because of my “fear,” halved except used 1/2c panko. One can/halving the recipe resulted in 7 patties for us. Fried in our cast iron. This! Was! AWESOME! Dipped in tartar but would like to make an aioli next time. Husband ate 3 patties! They were that good and he was surprised this came from a can! Would absolutely make again! Stellar recipe Judiebug!! Thank you!
Great recipe. I replaced the salmon with chub mackerel and added some jalapeños. And it was a huge success
Great combination of flavors made as written! Really enjoyed these and will definitely make again.
I follow the recipe exactly. We love it just the way it is.
Fantabulous!!! Cooked in iron skillet on the grill & it was smashing delicious. Haven’t tried salmon cakes since I was at home some 40 years ago!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe!
I made the recipe exactly as written. We enjoyed them. I have a brand new container of “ old bay”. It’s zippier than I remember. The salmon cakes were very flavorful. Thanks
I didn’t add the full amount of spices called for since a review stated it was pretty spicy. It was very good and I will make it again. The spouse loved it.
Excellent recipe! The folks saying it’s too spicy must like their food bland because I made these exactly as recipe directed and they came out so tasty and delicious!
Delicious! Doubled the recipe and used leftover bbq salmon. Not too spicy for us. Recommend this recipe for sure!
added alittle lemon & shredded cheese of your choice, this recipe always gets rave reviews
Followed the recipe as close as possible. I used 10 crushed saltines instead panko. There are only 2 of us so I made half. It made 6 patties and baked in the air fryer at 350 for 10 minutes on one side and 5 on the other. Very good. Served with Heinz Ketchup of course!
Omg these were so good. Don’t change a thing.
The Best recipe for canned salmon! We love canned salmon patties, especially in the warm months. This is a keeper.
This recipe is hands down the best for this Maryland family, I wouldn’t change a thing!!
Very good, added a splash of lemon juice, 1 tsp dill weed, 1 tsp dried onion flakes to mix. Baked at 375 for approx 20 – 25 minutes, turning once.
Too much seasoning. The garlic isn’t needed nor the worcestershire sauce. overall not pleasant tasting.
Came out really dry, followed directions
