These eggs are made rich and creamy with sour cream, and basil gives them a slight flavor kick. For added taste, I occasionally combine pepperjack cheese with a little fresh or powdered garlic and onion.

I use half the butter and squeeze lemon juice over the salmon. I also find I only need 12-15 minutes for a 3 pound (pretty thick) salmon. I have made this recipe at least a dozen times and it never disappoints!
Fresh dill would have been better, but I wanted to follow the recipe. I would definitely cut back on the dried dill next time, as it was overpowering and gave the fish an almost grassy flavor. I would also reverse the salt and pepper amounts (too much pepper, not enough salt), but otherwise this smelled great while cooking. The milk solids in the butter do tend to burn at such a high temp, so keep an eye on it. 16 minutes was plenty long for my liking. It was cook thoroughly, and still moist.
Wow, this was amazing! I only had a small piece so I just sprinkled the ingredients on both sides and put it in a glass pan into my air fryer. I did use the bake button and actually I checked on it at 16 minutes and took it out. Might even could have taken it out at 12-14 mins. So easy. Beautiful and tasty.
Maybe I went too light on the seasonings because this was pretty bland. I marinated for 45 minutes, also.
This is an excellent preparation for my farm-raised Norwegian salmon. I mostly followed the instructions but, as others have noted, baked at 450 degrees for 12 minutes (my salmon was an inch thick). I served this with some lemon juice and homemade tartar sauce from this site (Tartar Sauce I), which really added to the dish but isn’t totally necessary as it’s good enough on its own. I did find the fish quite buttery and would maybe cut down on it a bit or try mayo next time.
I followed other recommendations and: marinated it in lemon juice (I squeezed one whole lemon), used fresh dill, substituted mayo for the butter, and monitored the done-ness after 10 minutes. It was quite delish, tasted sorta like it already had tartar sauce on it.
I added more butter but I only did because I had more salmon. This is a delicious recipe.
good
This is a good building block recipe. It’s very customizable with extras. I have found that if you use fresh dill you need to use more, and dried uses a lot less. However, if you do use dried you should crush it or rub it before you put it on. I thought this was common knowledge but my friend, who also cooks, had no idea.
This is my new favorite salmon recipe. So easy and so good. I followed the recipe exactly and made a sauce with Mayo, sour cream, lemon juice, dill, salt and pepper. Very yummy!
This is a lovely, easy recipe for delicious salmon. The light seasoning adds just the right amount of savory accent. I’m a real rookie fish chef. This is a perfect beginner’s recipe.
This was simple and delicious. I topped it with sliced red onion instead of onion powder but that was the only change I made. I served it with fresh cooked beets and lightly steamed spinach, bok choy and swiss chard sprinkled with hemp seeds. Healthy and delicious.
Easy-peasy and so delicious!
This turned out great! Very tasty and easy to make! Just followed the recipe, no changes. My wife and I love getting recipes from y’all!
This recipe was exactly what I was looking for. Very simple. I didn’t have onion powder so I used dried minced onions. The seasoning is very subtle and enhances the true taste of the salmon. It was absolutely delicious.
I made this exactly how it’s written and it is fabulous! The flavor was so good and didn’t feel I needed to change anything. The only problem I had, I didn’t make enough and wanted more!
Great and simple recipe. I used 1/4 cup of fresh dill as another reviewer suggested and it came out great. I followed the recipe for the other ingredients and it came out perfect. It won’t come out dry as Laing as you don’t over cook it. I will make this again.
I followed the recipe exactly as I’m scared to make fish and don’t want to stray! My kids all ate it including the one who doesn’t like salmon. The one criticism was one kid thought it was a bit over cooked. I will make again maybe just cook a little less. Such a good recipe for a beginner!
great simple recipe. for 1 pound, I recommend 25 minutes. 20 was underdone.
I didn’t use the butter because my doc days I have to bring down my LDL level. It was still really good! It will be on my regular rotation, without butter of course.
I loved this recipe! I will make this gain. The butter added a lot of flavor and truly enhanced the dill. If I need something easy to make, this is what I’ll be making!! Yum.
