Baked Old Bay® Salmon

  4.8 – 10 reviews  • Baked Salmon Recipes

Using Old Bay® seasoning to cook salmon is quite simple. The fish stays quite delicate thanks to the mayonnaise.

Total Time: 25 mins

Yield: 8 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 serving cooking spray
  2. 1 (2 pound) salmon fillet
  3. 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  4. 2 tablespoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Place salmon on the prepared baking sheet. Spread with mayonnaise and sprinkle with Old Bay® seasoning.
  3. Bake in preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, about 20 minutes.
  4. You can substitute the Old Bay(R) with herbes de Provence for a totally different and delicious taste. This can also be cooked directly on the grill.

Delicious! Pleases even the pickiest eaters. My kids asked if there was more after licking their plates! The mayo keeps the fish extremely moist and adds a flavor that everybody loved. I served mine with couscous and fresh garlic-sauteed green beans. Winner!

I loved this recipe! It was easy and delicious. I put a squeeze of lemon on the salmon after cooking and served it with rice pilaf and grilled asparagus.

11.15.21 Really didn’t measure anything on this, just coated the top of the salmon with mayo and sprinkled the Old Bay® fairly heavily over the top. Cooked for 16 minutes, and it was just about perfect. And the way this breaks down nutritionally makes it a Super Star! Good recipe, quick-and-easy preparation, really enjoyed it with sides of Asian Asparagus Salad with Pecans (this site) and homemade mac and cheese.

Old Bay is a little too spicy for me, but the family liked it.

Salmon was tasty and moist. I will bake other types of fish this way also.

19 minutes was about right for a 3/4 inch thick fillet of wild caught salmon. I didn’t measure the seasoning but I was generous, and it had a little too much spice for me. I would make this again, with a little less spice.

Super simple and clean up was a breeze. Made as directed and we thought it was great. I will definitely make again.

Surprisingly tasty! This just goes to show you that simple ingredients often make the best-tasting recipes. I used a center cut filet that was about 1 1/4″ thick. The only change I’d recommend is only baking for 15 minutes tops. This will ensure a perfectly-moist piece of salmon. If your filet is even thinner, start checking at 12 minutes.
