Frozen Shrimp in the Air Fryer

  5.0 – 1 reviews  • Shrimp

Making macaroni and cheese is incredibly easy without a white sauce! On my microwave, I use the casserole option. It only takes 20 minutes.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Additional Time: 5 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 4
Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound frozen raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  2. 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  3. ½ teaspoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
  4. ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  5. 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley (Optional)
  6. 4 wedges fresh lemon (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) for 5 minutes.
  2. While the air fryer is heating, separate frozen shrimp if necessary and knock off any ice crystals that may have developed with a spoon.
  3. Place a single layer of frozen shrimp, about 1/2 pound, in the cooking area of the preheated air fryer and cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Combine melted butter, seafood seasoning, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl.
  5. When the timer sounds, brush each shrimp with seasoned butter, turn over, and brush the other side as well. Air-fry until shrimp are bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, 3 to 4 more minutes. Repeat with remaining shrimp.
  6. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
  7. This recipe was developed using a 5.3-quart basket-style air fryer. Different sizes and brands may yield different results.

I just recently discovered the beauty of frozen to air fryer cooking with shrimp!!! Who knew!? I made a very similar recipe from this site but that called for EZ Peel shrimp and the butter sauce was to peel and dip! This recipe “bastes” the shrimp during cooking (no shell) – resulting in moist, flavorful bites! Similar but different and this recipe is outstanding good! From fridge to table in under 10 minutes AND feels like fancy dining! Thanks Bibi!!
