Turned out absolutely delicious.
Simple, simple, simple. My husband the newbie in the kitchen followed this – using real garlic with salt and pepper instead of garlic salt – and made a great dish. Better than a restaurant!
Love it. I used only garlic powder instead of garlic salt and sprinkled paprika on top
This is a simple, quick and delicious recipe. The scallops were cooked perfectly at 8 min under the broiler. I made 1-1/2 times the sauce so I could have some remaining to pour over the rice. I did feel like the sauce could use some more flavor, as the flavors are very simple. May experiment by adding black pepper, oregano and or dill.
I made it but pan fried them instead of broiling them.
This was so easy! But, I melted the butter with 2 cloves of fresh minced garlic before pouring into the scallops. Some fresh ground black pepper, a very small amount of salt and there you go!
It turned out great!! Will make it again!!
Defrosted 1# scallops and broiled it. Too much water retained so I think it watered down seasoning.
I followed the recipe as-is, and it was underwhelming. It certainly did not compare to some of the fantastic scallops I’ve had in restaurants.
Have made this a number of times. True to word – restaurant worthy
Yummy and so satisfying! Easy!
Followed the recipe to the tee & it was great!! Didn’t have Parmesan cheese on hand, but used shredded sharp cheddar and it was delicious! I LOVE THIS APP!!!!
This must be the simplest dish with the biggest payoff. Gourmet “fast food.” I only had a pound of scallops, so I added a half pound of shrimp and I would do it again for more interest. Perhaps even add a few clams for accent. And why only 2 tablespoons of butter? Add more! Why not use some real pressed garlic instead of garlic salt. It takes no time, and it’s so much better. So I melted the salted butter, garlic, lemon juice, and some red pepper flakes in a little pot, poured over seafood and mixed it throughout; I arranged seafood in individual gratin dishes, put the lightest sprinkle of fine Italian breadcrumbs over it. Comes out bubbling hot, goes from oven right to the table. I added fresh parsley at the end and a little cup of melted butter on each plate. A great company dish but simple enough for any day of the week. A keeper.
Omit the garlic salt, especially if you are using salted butter. It ruined our meal. The scallops were cooked perfectly, however we had to throw most of them away, because of the salt. Next time I’ll replace the garlic salt with crushed or minced garlic.
The scallops where very flavorful, I did use a large clove of garlic instead of the garlic salt. I also soaked them in the sauce for about an hour before broiling.
I was a little nervous about making this recipe. But it turned out great. The only thing I did was at the end I had to strain scallops before serving. I will definitely make this again
It’s good and very simple, but I did substitute garlic powder for the garlic salt, added paprika, and then fresh parsley after they broiled.
Turned out perfect!
I have made this several times

I highly recommend this. Super easy and good. I served this with cheese filled ravioli tossed in a garlic, onion, fresh tomato, basil, and olive oil sauce. Will definitely make again!
