Broiled with tops of lobsters about 4 inches from the heat. Broiled 4.7 oz tails for 6 mins. Perfect. Easy. Delicious. I have made it several times. So easy, so yummy. Bought 3 tails for the 2 of us but ate only 1 each. Served with a lemon almond rice pilaf, kale and spinach mandarin feta salad. Great meal.

I had a one pounder and it came out perfect with approx 7 mins

Had never cooked lobster before and this was a really great way to cook it. Lots of flavor and very tender!

So stupidly simple! I had no idea how easy it was to make delicious lobster! Only tough part is learning how to cut the tail correctly. I used one of my husbands tools from his tool set cause the scissors weren’t cutting it (no pun intended). Next time I will see if the butcher can help me get a nice clean cut, everything else you can do with your eyes closed.

Tails turned out great, cooked perfectly. But the recipe needs a little something spicy hot to kick it up. Maybe some old Bay seasoning next time or picante paprika.

This was excellent and the most succulent lobster I’ve had in a long time. I was a little nervous about it – I wanted New Years Eve dinner to be special. I wasn’t sure if the broiler should be high or low so I had it on low for 5 Miki

No changes, delicious results.

The first big red flag on this recipe is the cooking time. 5 to 10 minutes? That’s a lot of time difference in broiling fish! I use 1 minute per ounce as a guide. Also, the position of the oven rack is very important. Should be about 10 inches from heat source. In general, the flavoring is good, but this is a very poorly written recipe that will not be of help to anyone new to lobster tail broiling.

I didn’t like this at all. There is no way to accurately broil a lobster, the meat is too fragile. The inside was cooked correctly but top was over done and chewy. It was also pretty bland despite doubling the seasoning. I love 99% of the dishes I have made from Allrecipes, but this one was a thumbs down. An expensive dish that did not taste delicious. I would not recommend.

Excellent!

Once you’ve prepped your lobster tails (cut down center of spine and removed membranes) place two-three fingers into the underside of the shell in order to lift the meat into the top of the shell. This allows you to season and butter the meat as well as enhancing the visual when plated.

Made recipe, recipe to vague. Lobster was under cooked after 15 minutes and broiler at 650. Cooked another eight minutes one over cooked the other way over cooked. Need size of lobster and where to place oven as well as time per ounce and broil setting.

This is my go to method of cooking lobster. I’ve used this recipe many times now. It’s closer to 10 minutes to cook than 5 but I like to make sure it is fully cooked through. Great recipe to make lobster rolls too.

I used Old Bay for seasoning. Good recipe. But, then it’s hard to screw up Lobster. Good thing because it is so expensive.

This was so simple and so tasty. I did not used the paprika but otherwise made it true to the recipe. I wil make this again. My husband really liked the lobster tails prepared this was.

Try using old bay seasoning instead of paprika. Otherwise perfect. Will never steam another lobster.
Marcus Hayes
Was delicious!
