Ingredients

  1. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  2. 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  3. 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning, or to taste
  4. ½ cup butter
  5. ¼ cup white sugar
  6. 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  7. 1 dash hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco®)
  8. 1 (32 ounce) container plain Greek yogurt
  9. ½ large cucumber – peeled, seeded, and minced
  10. ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  11. 1 tablespoon salt
  12. 1 teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add Cajun seasoning; cook and stir until garlic is evenly coated, about 1 minute. Mix butter into garlic mixture and cook until bubbling; reduce heat and add sugar, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce. Mix well and remove skillet from heat to cool, about 10 minutes.
  2. Mix yogurt, cucumber, Parmesan cheese, salt, and lime juice together in a bowl; add garlic mixture and stir until fully blended.

I found the preparation method and ingredient combo a bit odd when I first read over this recipe but the outcome was awesome! The one thing I would change is to eliminate the salt altogether since the parm brings plenty of salt to the sauce. I used this for grilled chicken wings but it would work well with so many other things. Try it and see for yourself!
