Grandma’s BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup ketchup
  2. 1 cup water
  3. ½ medium onion, diced
  4. ¼ cup lemon juice
  5. 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  6. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  7. 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  8. 1 teaspoon salt
  9. ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  10. 1 pinch ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix ketchup, water, onion, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, chili powder, and pepper together in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes.
  2. You can use 3 tablespoons cider vinegar instead of the lemon juice, and you can add additional seasonings if desired.
