I’ve used a lot of pizza sauce, but this is the best. Additionally, there is no cooking involved. The multiple components are worth including because it has such a fantastic flavor.

This is definitely our go to pizza sauce. Not very spicy at all but a nice blend of flavors.
I’ve made this recipe quite a few times and absolutely love it just as is. Makes a great parm sandwich.
Used 1 tsp oregano, generous measures of rest of spices. Used worcestershire sauce in place of anchovy paste. Too sweet…next time use half the honey.
This sauce is flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. My family likes to substitute Mike’s hot honey for a little more bite.
I would have to agree with the comment below. Way too sweet for me. I ended it cutting it with 2 TSPs of red wine vinegar and a tsp of extra tomato paste, and then low simmer for 20 mins.
It’s fantastic I did add some extra garlic and parmasean
I simmered it down on the stove while the dough was rising and let it cool before putting the pie together, cheers! As a follow up, I have substituted a little worcestershire for the anchovy paste, as I don’t always have it around, just as good for me, give it a go, this is a perfect recipe to dial in as you like it, exquisite!
This is really good. I usually can several jars of pizza sauce every summer, when my tomatoes are at their peak. I was making pizza on Friday and discovered that I had run out of my preserved sauce. So, I jumped on the interwebs in search of a sauce. This one caught my eye and so I went with it. It’s incredible. It is sweet, but if that’s not your thing adjust or leave the honey out. We didn’t find it overly spicy at all. Until I get around to making another big batch of my home preserved sauce, I’ll keep this one handy. It paired great with the recipe for pizza crust on Sally’s Baking Addiction website.
Amazing and flavorful!
I googled 2 other sauce recipes tonight and threw them both out. I found this one and it was delicious. I doubled the recipe as I had a bigger tin of tomato paste. The only change I made was to sub sugar for honey as I don’t care for it. Maybe I added a bit more hot pepper flakes cuz we love spicey. Next time I will add some fennel. This is a super easy, pantry friendly sauce and is so good. Thanks for the recipe
I made a double batch and cut back a tad on the honey. I keep a large container of homemade Italian seasoning that contains almost all of the recipes spices. I have made this multiple times and use it for spaghetti, meatball subs and chicken parmesan. It’s great..
This is my go to recipe for pizza sauce! The name says it all
Incredible
I. Oils literally eat this by the spoonful. Followed recipe to the T.
great easy to make, all ingredients in pantry already. next time I will use less honey as it was a bit too sweet for me. I added extra cayenne and red pepper to try to balance after.
I couldn’t find anchovy paste, so I blended in an anchovy fillet, but otherwise followed the recipe as written. I thought it was pretty good! It does have a sweetness, but was not overpowering, I didn’t find it spicy, but it had good flavor. I liked how it did not taste like canned sauce, yet required no cooking!!
Absolutely delicious!! A keeper for my family! The only two changes I made were I used diced tomatoes instead of tomato paste and water and I added 1/2 tsp. Fennel Seeds. My husband loves Fennel in his pizza sauce. This recipe is simple and delightfully flavorful. THANK YOU!
Delicious! I subbed the water for some pork broth for extra flavour. I also don’t like things too sweet so I only used 1 tablespoon honey. Don’t leave out the anchovies, it gives it the perfect umami punch!
Best ever… I have not bought any since finding this. I have made it several times just as written, my whole family loves it. It couldn’t get any better. Thanks for sharing.
Too spicy for my mom and children. Too sweet for me.
The name is fitting, this pizza sauce is very good. I made it exactly as written and was delicious on my sausage pizza. This would also be an excellent choice as a dipping sauce, especially for fried mozzarella sticks. A keeper for sure! I doubled the recipe so I’d have extra to keep on hand in the freezer.
