Every time, this gravy turns out perfectly. It has a fantastic flavor because of the cream of chicken soup. Never lumpy, just nice and creamy.

Ingredients
- 5 cups turkey stock with pan drippings
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup milk
- ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Bring the turkey stock to a boil in a large saucepan. Stir in soup, and season with poultry seasoning, pepper, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Reduce heat to low, and let simmer.

Adding the soup was the perfect thing I was missing. Adds flavor and thickness. Makes it a little easier to make your gravy. I made my own stock with the giblets and fallowed the recipe adding more milk flour as needed for thickness. I also added a few of my own seasonings. This is a great recipe to start from. Use as is, or add some of your own homey touches.
I wish the directions said how long to simmer it before adding the milk mixture!
Will make this again. Easy and tasty.
Added fresh chopped mushrooms
Every year my gravy is meh, but this year I got lucky and found my new favorite gravy recipe. Bravo for posting! It was easy and delicious!
This has been the go to gravy recipe in my house for years. I love that no matter how much drippings from the turkey, I get consistent results. This thanksgiving we had no drippings. I was worried but I was happy with the results from just store bought broth.
Great gravy and very easy to make! Make sure you warm the milk and whisk the flour in a cup before putting in, otherwise you will get clumps
This was a great and easy recipe. I made this for thanksgiving dinner and everyone raves about it with many saying it was the beat gravy they had ever had. I’ve now tweaked the recipe for beef by using beef broth and different seasoning blends designed for roasts and have had equally good results. I will definitely keep experimenting with the formula to be able to use in any situation or menu.
This recipe delivers. Thanks
This worked in a pinch as I had the ingredients on hand. But the flavor was lacking and it would not thicken up. I had to add twice the flour and it took much longer than indicated
The best smooth, tasty, gravy I had in a long time. I had to use cornstarch because I never have any luck with flour as a thickener. I used 3 cups turkey stock that I had from boiling the turkey neck, 1 can of chicken stock and when the turkey was done I added 3or 4 tablespoons turkey drippings. Yum!
Absolutely love this recipe. I didn’t have poultry seasoning so I substituted Montreal Chicken. My whole family went crazy for this. I will be using it over and over.
Big hit at thanks giving
I can eat this like soup. I made some adjustments here and there but it is still very delicious.
I use this gravy each and every time I make a turkey and it turns out awesome each and everytime. I do add Kitchen Bouquet liquid gravy browner to give it a darker color but other than that I don’t detour too much from. the original recipe. Each time I make it people compliment the flavour. I highly recommend this recipe.
This if a good option if you don’t have pan drippings. I did add an envelope of brown gravy mix for color and thickened with cornstarch. Also added some sage.
My entire family truly enjoyed eating this dish and everyone rated it a “5.” I will definitely make this dish again and again as this was mighty tasty and we cannot say enough about this dish.
I have only done a few reviews in my lifetime..however, this was so good that I had to. Only had about 2 cups stock from turkey so used chicken broth and it was a hit with my family. I am a pretty good cook and usually make gravy another way but wanted to try something different. This was a hit with my family. My neice who doesn’t normally like gravy wanted all the leftovers. So easy and so good.
Easy and even the pickiest of kids will love it! Without a turkey, I made a couple adjustments. I used 5 cups of organic Swanson chicken broth instead of turkey stock. I also substituted Lawry’s Seasoned Salt for both the poultry seasoning and seasoning salt ingredients. I would recommend continuing to cook for 3 minutes at the end rather than 1 to obtain a thicker creamier consistency. Great recipe, thank you!
perfection!
Made this and the family (and I) loved it! It was a nice consistency and the taste was amazing!
