Bubba’s Best BBQ Sauce

When I couldn’t decide between lasagna and moussaka the other night, this sausage and eggplant lasagna was a delicious compromise. In this, spinach lasagna noodles work great if you can find them. Another variant is to substitute ground lamb for the beef.

Excellent taste and easy to make. I used coffee instead of the cola. I did not use steak sauce and I used the rub ingredients instead of the spices. I had to cook it on simmer for three hours to get the sauce to thicken.

I canned this recipe so I had to omit the butter. I added Jamaican grace seasons and cayenne pepper. Came out yummy and good to can

Wonderful! So flavorful and complimentary over an Oven-Roasted Pulled Pork.

Great flavor. Used my own tomatoes and cooked down to a sauce. Worked out great.

Loved it! I used it with the top secret rub from this site as well. We try a variety of rubs and sauces, then smoke them and it tops my list. My hubby has other preferences though. He thought the sauce was good, but not his favorite.

Delicious. I doubled the recipe so I would have another bottle for later. I did cook the sauce and it made it really creamy and delish. Loved this recipe, kids loved this recipe, it’s a win!

One of the best BBQ sauce recipes ever. I also add liquid smoke and select hot sauces to turn up the heat a tad. Crazy good!

I’ve made this a couple times and it’s really good. I’ve used it as a base recipe and then upped the spice a few dif ways to make it even better. By itself it’s a great recipe!

I haven’t made this yet, but I’m wanting to. I just need to know what the savory ingredient is. I have to give stars to get this out here, but depending on the taste, I will change the rating.

Pretty darn good BBQ sauce. It was perfect for the ribs I smoked this weekend.

It was really good it was a little bit sweet so I did have to add some more white vinegar to stay upset the sweetness but I really liked it

I made the sauce in order to complement a pork shoulder. I usually like to try different sauces but this one grab my eye because of the quick time to prepare. Most chefs will have all of the ingredients on hand, I did not have any “steak sauce” so I did technically deviated from the recipe. My only subtle complaint is that in order to get the sauce to thicken up to a level that I like , I ended up simmering closer to 40 minutes. Some people would advocate for the addition of other thickeners such as corn starch or gelatin, but I was willing to leave it on the stove for twice the time recommended with excellent results. The biggest critics, my two, six and eight-year-old all enjoyed the sauce because it was not too spicy.

This is a really tasty sauce and easy to make. I baked my baby back ribs with salt and pepper and a little garlic powder very slowly on low for a couple hours then finished them off on the the grill adding the sauce toward the end. I used poultry seasoning instead of savory which I did not have, chopped onion and garlic powder. I added more hot sauce (Cho lu la) And a touch of cayenne. Really good! Family loved it:-)

I added paprika ,cayenne pepper and Tabasco sauce to this recipe to kick it up a bit. Great sauce.

It has a nice sweet taste but needs more heat. I simmered it down to a nice consistency but it came out with very dry taste. I’m not sure how to cut out the dryness.

A great bbq sauce! Thick and sweet with a little heat. My family really liked it. It tastes like a sauce we had at a favorite bbq place. I will definitely will make it again.

Very good but I did change it up, substituted real maple syrup for cola, added fresh chopped onion, garlic instead of powder and salts, added a Serano pepper in place of Cayan pepper and chilli powder. Outcome is fantastic, sweet at first then a little heat

This sauce is the bomb! I have used it in ribs and pulled pork and it works well with both…thanks for sharing!
