This creamy chicken stew is one of my all-time favorites. It comes with white rice and potato chips on the side. I prefer a saltier, savory stew; other people like to add chile peppers to make it a little bit hotter. Additional broth or coconut milk can be added to change the consistency. It ought to be creamy and thick. It must not be gooey. Although it’s not always customary, I adore the usage of table cream or creme de leite!

Great sauce! Definitely lives up to it’s name: sweet, tangy, and spicy. Next time I think I’ll cut the cayenne pepper in half though. It was just a little too spicy for my taste.
it was delicious! we skipped the cayenne pepper for the kids and it was perfect!
I used this in pulled pork, and loved the tanginess of the sauce. I didn’t add any of the white sugar, and only half of the cayenne.
Delicious! Made it to put on chicken and ended up putting it on everything on our plates. Can’t comment on the cayenne pepper – we only used a sprinkle and it was enough to give some heat.
Cut the cayenne pepper in half because of kids but still taste great. Defiantly a keeper
Absolutely outstanding! My brother-in-law begs me to make this for him all the time! I’ll never telling him our secret.
Delicious ! Awesome sauce !!! 🙂
This recipe tastes exactly as it’s named-spicy, sweet, and tangy. It was also super easy to make! Definitely using this recipe again!
Love it! Followed the recipe exactly and stored the extra – Good for basting and marinating. Sweet and spicy.
Very good! Followed the recipe as directed and stored the leftovers in a mason jar. It’s a nice balance of sweet with a kick.
This recipe lives up to it’s title. It is spicy, sweet and tangy. It is easy to make and very good. I halved the recipe as I only had a small amount of cooked chicken breast to use up and mixed this sauce in with to make chicken barbecue for dinner. I think the recipe needs some Worcestershire but that is entirely my personal preference. I will be making this again. Thanks!
Tasty. I added molasses and a bit of paprika. Delish!
