Barbecue sauce is not my favorite (spiciness hurts my mouth), but this one was fine. I will make it when we have ribs, etc. Perhaps as a gift?? Thank you.
Adjusted to my tastes – no more bottled bbq. Thx Debi K! I’ve been working to reduce the amt of waste & recycling our household produces. No more bbq bottles here.
This is my go-to BBQ sauce. I rarely buy commercially bottled sauces anymore because, as with this one, they can be made with ingredients I already have on hand.
Easy and tasty.
I didn’t have brown sugar so I substituted 1 tbsp Mudhava, and 1 tbsp of honey. I’ll make this again, I liked it.
I didn’t have any bar-b-que and wanted some for my vegetarian nuggets. So, I found this quick recipe and made it exactly as it is. It was delicious. and better than store bought. sauce to me. I had all the ingredients except the Worcestershire sauce. Next time.
Was better than any store bought. I substituted 1 tsp yellow mustrad for dry and added some liquid smoke. Also added 1/2 c chopped onion sautéed in some butter. Delicious!
Too sweet for us. Added 1/2 again of all ingredients except brown sugar & it was perfect for us. Liquid smoke is a must! Thanks you for this recipe!
Planning ribs, pouring rain, and i had no barbeque sauce. Found this recipe, doubled it. Really tasty. To suit us, I did add some molasses to deepen the sweet. Thanks for sharing this.
We loved it. I just put a little less sugar.
Recipe was delicious maybe a little heavy on vinegar and I added some cayenne pepper and drained a small can of pineapple chunks and let that simmer with the barbecue sauce and it came out like Hawaiian barbecue. Different but pretty good a nice change.
this recipe is amazing. i used it on ribs, i doubled it, and i didnt have apple cider vinegar so i used regular distilled white vinegar! still turned out great. great texture, great flavor, great base. thank you for sharing. i wont be upset over forgetting the bbq sauce ever again 🙂
Very good very easy
Second time making this treat!! Love it!! Made two batches and added honey (3 Tbsp) to the other for a honey-bbq variety. Thanks!
Too sweet for me but I just half the brown sugar. It was a lifesaver when I realized I ran out of BBQ sauce.
This is a simple and delicious recipe. DO NOT MODIFY, it’s perfect!!
FANTASTIC BBQ sauce!! Family loved it and I had everything on-hand. Definitely a keeper! Thinking of gift giving ideas for Christmas and this is the front-runner. Thanks for sharing!!
Great recipe and so easy! I added a few dashes of smoked paprika which really added to the flavor.
Very good and one of the few recipes where i had everything on hand,,That is the beauty of this recipes…Simple, easy and tasty
Great tangy flavor!
Great easy every day sauce. Better store bought and now I don’t have to read labels searching for the few that have no high fructose corn syrup. Easy to whip up whole
