Tartar sauce highlights some of my favorite ingredients: fresh herbs, good mayonnaise, capers and pickles. It’s the perfect punchy, creamy condiment to serve with almost anything. Plus, it’s super easy to make and goes a long way when feeding a crowd.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup mayonnaise, preferably Hellmann’s
  2. 1/4 cup minced dill pickles
  3. 2 tablespoons capers
  4. 2 tablespoons chardonnay vinegar
  5. 2 spicy banana peppers, minced
  6. 1/4 bunch fresh dill, minced
  7. Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, pickles, capers, vinegar, banana peppers and dill. Season with salt and pepper. Serve with your favorite seafood, such as grilled shrimp.
