Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon peanut or vegetable oil
- 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup creamy natural peanut butter
- 1/4 cup ketchup
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium heat, add the cayenne and garlic and cook, stirring, until just golden, about 1 minute. Add the peanut butter, ketchup and 1/2 cup water and stir until combined. Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Serve warm or room temperature.

I wasn’t sure how ketchup would be a good fit in this recipe at first, but it turned out great. Nice amount of spice, lots of flavor for only a few ingredients. I put it on fettuccini with scallions and chopped peanuts as a topping. Excellent.
