Ingredients
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Mix the peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk in a small saucepan over low heat. Gradually stir in the butter. Continue to cook, stirring, until the sauce is smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla.
- Let the sauce cool; it will start to thicken as it cools. When ready to serve, heat the sauce in the microwave for a few seconds so it is easy to drizzle on top of your dessert of choice.

Reviews
I’ve made this once when it turned out perfectly, and once when the butter seemed to separate from the peanut butter/sweetened condensed milk mixture. If you just beat in 2-3 Tbsp of water it will all come back together into a smooth silky sauce, so don’t be afraid to try it!
I loved it and so did my family. I did exactly as the recipe said, I would definitely make it again. Thanks Marcela
This DID NOT work. It was a big clump of peanut butter and the butter separated from it. Disgusting!!
This is the second of Marcela’s recipes that I have tried and am becoming very disappointed. The other turned out just as bad. I followed the recipe exactly – I love peanut butter and this sounded scrumptious – but it was awful! The burner was on simmer, but the moment the sauce even began warming up, it seized up, then the butter would not incorporate at all, it just sat there making a pool of butter no matter how much i stirred and whipped. Oh, and don’t leave in pan any length of time because its very hard to get out!
