Reviews
The sweet flavoring of the broccoli slaw and the sauce mixture for the chicken went perfectly together. I did also put the Hawaiian bread on a buttered skillet which gave a ton of flavor as well. I made a side of cheesy potatoes and some applesauce on the side. My family was very happy!
I used this recipe a little differently. I made the sauce, added some red pepper flakes and then used it as a marinade for pork chops.it Grilled the chops. Really yummy. Just a different idea.
Delicious! I used regular coleslaw and I didn’t heat up the vinegar base and it was still great
This was so much better than I thought! I was expecting this to be something similar to pulled pork sandwiches. Well, it’s got so much more going on flavor wise. It is sweet, salty, and has a little kick. And it took no time to put together. I’ll definitely make this again.
This recipe is outstanding! We have named it “Second Best Sandwich”. It’s a long story… Add a bit of fresh cilantro over the slaw for an extra burst of flavor. I could eat these once a week.
I adapted this by using the Instant Pot to cook raw bone-in chicken w/ chicken broth. Add the magic sauce and put it in brioche buns too. Big hit for grownups & kids alike!
Instead of using rotisserie chicken I baked a few chicken breasts in the oven with a little bit of olive oil, salt and pepper. Shredded the chicken when it came in and added it to the sauce on the stove. Easy and delicious, thanks Jeff!
Delish and very easy!!! Husband said “it’s a keeper”!!! Hit all the right notes. The only change I made was using brioche buns instead of Hawaiian. Great recipe!!
Delicious use of our left over roasted chicken!
could you make this ahead and freeze?
