If you’re cooking for 8 hours use a pork shoulder or pork butt…tenderloin will turn into jerky. Just be diligent about pulling the fat out. Otherwise this recipe is so delicious…the sauce is magical! I served over fries with cheese and green onions.

Am I the only person to be confused about the recipes that interchange pork tenderloin with pork roast? They are so different and I cannot see how you can use either one for the same recipe. Tenderloin is delicious and tender when marinated and baked for 20 minutes. Pork roast can be dry and tough and needs much more roast time. I like the idea of using root beer, but am hesitant to try making this.

Everything about this recipe is amazing!! It’s simple yet so delicious!! The sassy sauce is not a must I’m sure it gives the pork more tang but regular bbq sauce does the job ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ a must recipe to try!!!

My boyfriend and I loved this one. Definitely will be making again. I used a pre-made bbq sauce and it was delicious but would like to try the one in the recipes sometime.

I made this pulled pork recipe yesterday. I would give it 4 stars. Very easy to put together. I didn’t use the amount of liquid smoke. Instead I use 1 teaspoon. It was smokey enough for us. Served on a crusted roll with Cole slaw.
