Parisian Ham Tea Sandwiches

  3.6 – 5 reviews  • Gruyere Recipes
I fell in love with Parisian ham sandwiches in Paris. Amongst the many legendary meals, pastries and baked goods, what tickled me me the most was a simple ham sandwich with salt, Dijon and butter. This is a tiny version, yet explosive with flavor.

  1. 8 slices country white sandwich bread
  2. 4 to 6 tablespoons Dijon mustard

  4. 1/2 pound Parisian or tavern-style ham, shaved
  5. 4 to 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  6. 4 pinches flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Lay out 4 slices of bread and schmear half with mustard from crust to crust. Top each with 2 slices of Gruyère. Arrange the ham in ribbons on top of the cheese.
