Ingredients
- 2 medium avocados
- 1 (5 ounce) can light tuna (such as Century®)
- 2 small tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro, or to taste
- ½ tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 pinch chili powder, or more to taste
- salt to taste
Instructions
- Scoop out avocado contents and place in a bowl. Set aside shells.
- Mix in tuna, tomatoes, cilantro, pepper, chili powder, and salt. Divide mixture between shells to serve.
- My grandmother told me to always pick the pear-shaped avocados instead of the circle ones, because they have more contents.
- You can substitute parsley for cilantro.

Fast, easy and really delicious! I’ve had it on toast (which is good on both multigrain and honey wheat) but I liked it best in a lettuce wrap. Next I’m going to try it with spinach and a spring wrap.
I didn’t find it terribly flavorful. I added some radish for crunch and also some green onions. I don’t think I’ll make it again.
Very easy and tasty. Felt healthy eating this.
I really enjoyed this and I’m not the biggest fan of tuna! I did use a little less tomato than called for, personal preference. The recipe didn’t say whether to cube or mash the avocado, so I diced half of it, and lightly mashed the rest. The seasonings were perfect. I will definitely make this again.
