I made the taco salad it was easy, delicious, had a great flavor, the and I love it.
Try with nacho cheese Doritos kidney beans hamburger with taco seasoning and French dressing lettuce and cheese
very good i also used onion an bell pepper in the meat very good loved the recipe .
It was great!
This recipe was very good and easy to make. But the sauce was sweet and did not compliment the salad. I noticed a lot of other people had the same problem and I realized that I made the red french sauce instead of the creamy french sauce. So remember to use the creamy french sauce instead. It makes a huge difference.
I absolutely LOVE this recipe! The only things I change is that I use black beans (only beans I like), and I don’t add the chips to the mix as they get soggy and the texture of soggy chips is awful. I serve chips on the side to scoop up the salad. This is consistently one of the most popular dishes at potlucks and picnics…and is fantastic as leftovers as well (if I’m lucky enough to have leftovers!)
The french dressing gave the salad a sweet taste that I wouldn’t associate with a taco salad. It kind of negated the taco seasoning. Overall, it was ok. My family wants me to try a different recipe next time.
The BEST ever!!!! My kids ages 9-14 along with the hubby ask for it every week
Too wet. The flavor was good but it was a soggy mess. (Like chili with wilted lettuce and soggy chips). Too much sauce and beans. . . not like a taco salad should be. My advice would be leave out the chili beans, salsa and just put some catalina dressing on the lettuce, not cooked into the meat.
I really like this salad. I did use Catalina Dressing (1/2 bottle) as I like the tanginess of that salad dressing and prefer black beans to the chili beans.
This is SO YUMMY and is gluten free friendly. Everyone in the family loves it and it’s a favorite amongst everyone.
I loved this taco salad as she would say “with a twist” it really does offer a flavorable taste in your mouth with each bite you take. My 8,10 & 13 year older love it and ask for it every week. It even taste good lightly heated up in the microwave for lunch the next day or two to follow. LOVE THIS ??
We LOVE all taco salads and this one was no exception!
It was great! Mase without the beans. My family loved it.
I love this recipe! I have been making it for years but we use the Fritto Scoops or plain Frittos and crush them up. They dont go soggy like Tortilla Chips!
I added a chopped bell pepper & chopped yellow onion to the meat as it was browning. It was delicious and definitely making again ??
The flavor of the finished dish was really good. I only gave it four stars because I feel like the proportions of ingredients are off a little bit. I felt like it had a lot of chips, and even then they got soggy pretty quickly. I also felt like it didn’t have enough lettuce. I think I will use some of the other reviewer‘s ideas as far as adding onion green pepper and black olives next time. I might also try with the nacho cheese Doritos too. All in all I thought this was a great starter recipe and I can’t wait to put some tweaks on it.
Followed one of the other reviews and added Catalina dressing. Also used ground turkey. A big zero for pink colored meat. Taste is superb. Big Hit we’ll do it again. Thank you.
I did not think it would be good, but alas, it was quite delicious.
Not my kind of taco salad.
This recipe is amazing! We have made it several times. However, this last time, we decided to leave out the lettuce and chips from the rest and add as needed to each serving. This allows for fresh lettuce and crunchy chips for left overs!!!
