My spouse hadn’t eaten any of the fresh plums I had on hand, so I created this delectable dessert. Delicious and easy! This may be used with different stone fruits like nectarines or peaches, and I bet it would be tasty in the fall with apples or pears as well! It tastes great when served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- 3 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup coleslaw dressing
Instructions
- Place a steamer insert into a saucepan and fill with water to just below the bottom of the steamer. Bring water to a boil. Add Brussels sprouts, cover, and steam until tender, 6 to 8 minutes. Drain and pat Brussels sprouts dry.
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
- Add Brussels sprouts to bacon grease in the skillet. Cook and stir over medium heat until coated, about 1 minute. Remove Brussels sprouts to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Chop cooled bacon and combine with Brussels sprouts and raisins in a bowl. Pour coleslaw dressing on top and toss to combine. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour for flavors to meld.
- You can use dried cranberries instead of raisins.

Quite tasty, for how few ingredients it has! I’m thinking there is an error in the recipe, because 1 cup each of the raisins and dressing is WAY too much. The sprouts would be swimming in dressing. Thankfully I had decided to use half the amounts and that was plenty. If I had to guess, the quantity of Brussels sprouts should be doubled, which would be more in line with the 8 servings. As it stands, this only makes about 4 servings. I recommend adding in the bacon right before serving to keep it crisp, unless soggy bacon doesn’t bother you. I steamed the sprouts for 6 minutes since they were smaller in size and that was just right.
