Used a little sweet pickle juice. No sugar. Ty

Easy to make. I cut the sugar way back and glad I did or it would be too sweet. I used just about 3 teaspoons. I also added some Mayo.

Very simple and tasty. I adjust to match my family’s preferences.

I am a huge fan of the Amish Slaw recipe on this site, and this is slightly different and just as good. I reduce the sugar to 1 tbsp. on both though. The real beauty of both recipes is that by varying the vinegar type, it’s a whole new flavor. Just before serving (after marinating overnight), I sprinkle a little Maldon sea salt over the top. I have even used a little Lawry’s seasoned salt or Italian or Greek seasoning for variations. Terrific recipe or basis for lots of other flavors.

I don’t know why anybody has to add sugar especially that much to coleslaw try it without sugar it’s a whole lot better for you and it even tastes better

We made this tonight, after searching for more of a vinegar based slaw, different than our usual go to. This was a great base, but I only gave it 4 stars because we did need to change it a bit. Regardless, I’ll definitely use this as a base again. We started with a bag of slaw mix (mixed cabbage & carrots). We added a bit of cayenne pepper, quite a bit of cracked black pepper and some fresh ground salt. We also added a good bit of celery seed and celery salt. Enjoy!

I substituted one shredded head of kohlrabi for the cabbage and halved the sugar and it was delicious. I will probably use less oil next time since the kohlrabi created less of a slaw mixture than one head of cabbage would.

This coleslaw is the best for mayonnaise haters like me. The only change I made was to use half a head of green and half a head of purple cabbage. It was very pretty, crunchy, and a perfect side on a hot summer day! Enjoy!

This was way better than any store-bought I’ve ever had. I will never buy ready-made coleslaw dressing again!

I didn’t change a thing and I wouldn’t change a thing. It wasn’t overly “vinegary” or “mayonnaisey” as my husband said. He is extremely adept at noticing, and letting me know, if I used too much of either of those two flavors! I will not even search for another coleslaw recipe in the future. This will be my go to.

Easy recipe. Used 2 grated carrots, 1/4 red onion. Added 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp celery seed. Used apple cider vinegar. Added 2 Tbsp mayo to help emulsify the dressing.

I will never buy a bag of coleslaw again! I chopped the cabbage, shredded the carrot and greatly reduced the sugar. Day 1, I had it after sitting hour and it was a bit too crunchy and a little bitter but still very good. Day 2 I added a tbsp mayonnaise and it was wonderful.

Husband liked this better than kfc. We don’t eat there much but he likes the coleslaw. This was a great recipe. I I’ll try with fish tacos next time.

Tasty recipe with less fat. I used slaw mix with added carrot and onion and tripled the recipe to feed a crowd. Everyone loved it.

Good basics. Still needs Celery seed and a generous season to taste.

This was surprisingly good given how simple the recipe is. I used half the sugar (2 Tbsp) and that seemed like a good balance. I would definitely make it again.
