Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) bag coleslaw mix
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup white sugar, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place coleslaw mix in a large bowl. Combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Pour mayonnaise mixture over coleslaw mix and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes; serve with a slotted spoon.

I made my own variation of this recipe using raw cabbage and baby carrots prepared in my ultimate chopper I cut my ingredients about to 1/2 or two thirds measuring. The recipe is simple and very easy tasty too!!! ❤️
Thank you for (finally!) a really great coleslaw recipe! It’s perfect for our taste. I used less sugar (about 1 Tablespoon or so less than 1/4 cup) since this mentioned sugar “to taste.” And, instead of bagged mix, I just shredded up a half cabbage and one large carrot. Having tried the bagged stuff for a different slaw, I noticed it made a dry sludgy slaw. Fresh made this so delicious.
I seasoned to taste but, this is easy and good! Handy receipe when you don’t have a lot of time!

This is really good coleslaw that’s easy to make. Only changes I made are 1.5 tsp of the vinegar and 3/4 C of mayo. These minor adjustments keep it from becoming too soupy. Great flavor and simple to prepare.
