Always looking for new chicken salad recipes to try. This was very good. I used a little over 1/4 cup of mayo and found that to be plenty. Will be making this again.
I halved the recipe, there’s just 2 of us. I also added croutons right before serving. It is very tasty and does taste like a BLT. This will be made again, this time for the 6 servings and maybe some cheese. That was last night, I forgot to submit. I made it AGAIN for the 2nd night in a row. I added some cubed cheddar cheese and a little onion powder to the dressing.
Absolutely perfect! A great spring salad for Sunday afternoons.
Ok but not a favorite. Needs more seasoning and does not save well.
Skipped the tomato, added leftover green peppers and cucumbers. Also added olive oil and extra lemon juice because the mixture was thick. I had a very ripe avocado, so I mixed it into the dressing. Delicious!
A weekly rotation in our house. Excellent for a quick lunch and my young kids love it (which is rare). I use rotisserie chicken to speed up the process. Delicious!
Made a couple of adjustments because of what I had on hand. I used 5 Tbsp real bacon bits, 3 cups diced rotisserie chicken, 1 cup minced green pepper (in place of celery), +/- ¾ cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons minced frozen onion, 1 tsp dried parsley, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1 dash Worcestershire sauce, and salt and ground black pepper to taste. I sliced the tomato and topped sandwiches with it when serving, along with romaine lettuce. We ate it on mini croissants, and everyone loved it!!
Excellent
Really yummy! I like spicy stuff, so next time I make it I will probably spice the chicken up while it cooks. Totally love this dish though. Maybe I will also add more lemon juice on top of the whole salad. I lunch a bit more of a punch to things but this salad was super yummy. Two thumbs up!
Loved this recipe! Cut the tomatoes down to one tomato but that’s just my preference. Delicious!
This was very tasty, and my husband and son gave it 2 thumbs up. Next time I make it, I think I’ll decrease the mayo to 1/2 cup instead of 3/4. The tomato in the recipe adds extra moisture so the overall consistency was a bit too juicy for my taste. Also, I think I’ll chill it for a bit longer, which may absorb some of the liquid. I used Vidalia onion instead of green, bacon bits instead of strips. I’ll use bacon strips next time to give it a bigger bacon punch, although this recipe would be tasty even without bacon. Great summer salad.
I thought this was great. I added less mayo. I didn’t add celery. I added some sliced sweet gherkin pickles, some pickle relish, a golden delicious apple, and crushed walnuts.
Made this as written and it was outstanding! Tasted just like a great BLT sandwich. The only thing I found was it was a little thick, so added a bit more lemon juice to thin it out a bit. I also skipped the avocado as this is something I’m not that big a fan of. If you want to make this a touch healthier, substitute Plain Greek Yogurt for the mayo. I just made a batch of the dressing with yogurt, juice of half a lemon and 1% milk to get the consistency right and it is superb! In a carton in my fridge for lunch salads and a veggie dip! Thanks for a great recipe!
spread the avocado onto a ww bread, sliced the tomato, and had a open faced sandwich
Very tasty and usable on my Keto adventure! I added some cashews and served in with some salad greens. Yum!
This may be our new favorite summer salad. You don’t just have to use romaine lettuce, this goes well with any type of salad green or great as a wrap.
My husband and I loved it!
my wife gave it a 2 thumbs up… very easy to make, change one thing, only…. i had no avocados, and did have boiled eggs. So put 2 in the the dish….delicious.. so much protein..
My husband loved this. He is not one for change but this recipe changed his mind about chicken salad.
This is a great chicken salad recipe. The bacon is a delicious addition.
Very yummy, love this chicken salad
