Yes and we have changed it down a bit and added… fake crab. Still a winner for those cost savy folks. We love… like it both ways!
I am an avid potato salad lover.I made this after some contemplating and boy I DO NOT REGRET this decision one bit!!! It taste just like I thought it would! DELICIOUS!! If you enjoy a good crab boil you Will definitely enjoy this . I agree crabmeat is expensive but I substituted claw meat in place of lump crab(that’s what was on sale!. So give it a try it really is worth it!
This was okay…our family loves old bay and crab…however, if I was going to spend the money on the crab again … I would make something else with it.
I made this for a family picnic this past summer, and it was a big hit.
I made this for a 4th of July cookout and was surprised at how great it was! Everyone raved about it and it wasn’t a very expensive dish. I would definitely take it to another picnic or cookout, with a few tweaks. The recipe didn’t call for salt or pepper and I would throw a bit in at the end just for some extra flavor. I was also thinking about a touch of hot sauce to the mayonnaise as well. The recipe didn’t indicate the temperature to serve the salad at (serve hot, warm or cold) but I served it semi-chilled. I think it would be best served cold. All in all, a definite fan favorite and possibly a repeat for the 4th next year!
