Where’s the barbecue? These are ribs in tomato sauce. It’s a little bland for my taste but I added a lot more spices to liven it up. It was just okay but I won’t be makin it again.

very good and very easy to prepare

I, too, found the sauce thin, and off-set the lid on our slow cooker to allow more steam to escape. Also, consider mixing directly in a saucepan and reduce to thicken it to a desired consistency. My husband and loved this and appreciated a barbecue-tasting dish that can be done indoors during Midwest Winters.

The best thing about this recipe is that you can make it indoors, when the weather is too bad to cook outside on the grill. For my personal tastes, I leave out the cumin. But this is yummy.

Right on!!! Very very good.

This recipe was good but could have used less liquid because the sauce was a little thin too be considered bbq sauce. Other than that, it was quite tasty.

This recipe is serviceable for ribs. The meat was tender and the sauce tasted OK but could have used some reducing on the stove. If you’re looking for a really great slow cooker rib recipe I’d keep looking.

i replaced the chunky tomatoe sauce with 2 cans of tomatoe soup, 1tbsp of white vinigar and no cumin. its a sweeter sauce.. very good..

So yum! I did as others recommended and put the ribs under the broiler for a few minutes. I also took the remaining sauce from the slow cooker and reduced it to a thicker sauce, skimming the fat off from the top while reducing. Top the ribs with the sauce and they are just amazingly tasty.
