This drink was ok. I wont make it again. I ended up freezing the liquid to put as ice cubes in a margarita mix.

I really liked this for a summer bbq cocktail. Could likely cut the simple syrup out completely – or worth trying. Was really good though – I drank a few too many at our party!

I made this last night and had to modify the recipe a bit.  It was sooo strong with that much vodka.  Like burns your throat strong.  I ended up adding another cup or so of watermelon purée and a can of Sprite Zero to cut down the strength a bit.  After that it was delicious!

Comment – I just saw this same recipe in HGTV mag, July/Aug 2020

Geoffrey used 1 cup simple syrup to 1 cup lime juice.

I made this at the beach and it is such a perfect beach cocktail. I followed the recipe exactly, and although it is a lot of lime, I think it really works. Will be making it again soon!

Really fun! Too sweet…next time half the amount of simple syrup. Kind of like salt, you can always add more.

After trying this recipe, I think that the lime and simple sugar measurements may have been reversed here on the website.  At 1 cup, the lime totally covers any watermelon flavor.  I’ll play around with this, so that the watermelon comes out the way it should.

All I want to know is where can I buy that pour spout that was used for the watermellon drink. Ep.6/27/15..I made that drink to day(watching soccer)it would have been less messy with the spout.  EVERY ONE LOVED IT! !!!  I just want the spout…IT ISN’T ON YOUR SALE PAGES….THANKS JUDY

Super easy to put together especially for a party! So loughs and refreshing! The lime really picks it up and it’s not too sweet at all! A definite hit!
