I have made this every year for about 5 years now. It is so yummy! My only complaint is that I can NEVER find dram and have to make it which I forgot this year. I do have a little leftover from last year but no time to make it since it takes like 2 weeks. Any suggestions for substitutes or quicker dram recipes?
Very tasty! Served this at our first Friendsgiving and it was a hit!
Serve it every year at thanksgiving. We love it!
Yum! We served this at thanksgiving and will again next year.
Made this for Thanksgiving and it was a hit!! The dram gave it a unique flavor that I’ve never experienced in a drink before.
This is a great punch recipe, perfect for fall and the holidays. Check online for home-made allspice dram or pimento dram (allspice is the seed of the pimento) if you can’t locate it near you. My local liquor store had the St. Elizabeth dram. The punch has a nice spice taste – great for the fall and Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday. The flavor also has a strong citrus flavor – but subject to the flavor of the limes you use, I suppose. This is a great option if your are looking for a punch for your party or holiday open house. Be sure to use large ice cubes to avoid dilution of the punch! For another great cocktail using the dram, try GZ’s Maple Leaf – that’s my favorite for Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year’s holidays!
