Ingredients

  1. 1 quart heavy cream
  2. 2 cups milk
  3. 1 cup granulated sugar
  4. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  5. 6 eggs, lightly beaten
  6. 2 cooked lobster tails, meat removed from shells and diced
  7. 1 cup confectioners’ sugar, plus more for topping
  8. 1/2 cup lemon juice
  9. Zest of 1 lemon
  10. Zest of 1 lime
  11. Zest of 1 orange

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Stir together the cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla, eggs and lobster. Pour the mixture into an 8-inch square nonstick baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Bring the confectioners’ sugar and lemon juice to a simmer in a small saucepan. Simmer until slightly thickened, then turn off the heat.
  4. Drizzle the pudding with the glaze and then scatter with most of the citrus zest. Dust with confectioners’ sugar and sprinkle with the remaining zest. Serve immediately.

I saw this episode. This recipe looked so good. There was no hint from the judges that it was sweet. But maybe that was the challenge. I forget. It looks delicious, but excessively sweet. I am glad to see it and will give it a try.  Probably reduce the sugar, though. I also note that the picture doesn’t agree with the call for an 8″x8″ pan. Should be 6 cup bundtlet pan. Thanks tregaye.
