Ingredients

  1. One 8-ounce package cream cheese
  2. 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil
  3. 1 teaspoon fresh minced chives
  4. 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley
  5. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  6. Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  7. 6 taco-sized flour tortillas
  8. 1 pound thinly shaved turkey
  9. 3 carrots, julienned
  10. 1 cucumber, julienned

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, basil, chives, parsley, lemon juice, and sprinkle with salt and pepper together in a bowl. Lay out the tortillas and spread with the herb cream cheese mixture. This is only a glorified wrap recipe. Looks tasty but naw. False advertising.

Delicious and satisfying. Great appetizer snack for both kids and adults. The herb, cream cheese, lemon mixture is divine.

I’m going to make these Sunday night and put them in my daughter’s lunchbox through out the week. They are delicious.

A LONG TIME FAMILY FAVORITE
I have been making variations of this for years! Sometimes I use the Philadelphia vegetable or other cream cheese variations. Ham with cranberry compote and cream cheese is terrific. So is roast beef, horsehadish and chives mixed in with the cream cheese, and whatever “skinny” veggies you like. Well-drained sun-dried tomatoes, black olived mixed into the cream cheese, and pepperoni or proscuitto is yummy. BUT, you will get the best results (and prettiest rolls if you use the ready sliced deli meats. I often keep a roll or two in the ‘fridge just for my husbnd and myself to enjoy. and talk about convenient make-ahead to take to a party, besides Chex Mix, it doesn’t get any easier than this, only this is SO much better! Experiment and have fun. I have not had a bad one yet.

This was such an easy, make ahead appetizer. I loved the flavor and you can add almost any vegetable. I used carrots and cuke as the recipe suggested but I also used tender crisp cooked fresh green beans. Yummy. I plan to makes these as an appetizer for my daughter’s bridal shower.

Another great recipe that can be modified to meet everyone’s taste. With a family of 6 we usually have a variety of veggies and meats on hand. The cream cheese and tortilla base is so delicious and then we added turkey or ham or bacon, also added some avacado, lettuce and tomatoes to make a vegetarian version. It was a delicious and fun change up to the usual sandwich lunches.

I love this idea. I not only made this recipe as written but changed it up by eliminating the turkey and using some leftover grilled shrimp, grilled chicken, and deli ham. I am going to try it with the sun dried tomato and the spinach wraps next. Thanks Ree for sharing!

This is a great idea, I used fresh green onion tops and dried chives with the lemon juice salt & pepper and my cream cheese turned out yum! I like that this idea can be changed for example I will use tiny slice zuchini spears and squash spears in mine this week. This was an inspiring idea and I plan to run with it & try every variation I can think of, I am so tired of regular sandwiches, so thank you Ree for the idea!
