These chicken patties with a Mediterranean flair are a refreshing change from beef burgers and go well with any outdoor gathering. Add some olive oil to the meat mixture if you’re using all breast meat to prevent drying out. In place of the tapenade, you may alternatively use 2 tablespoons of chopped Kalamata olives. To maintain the Mediterranean flavor profile, drizzle tzatziki sauce on top, or for an Asian flavor, combine shredded lettuce with a sesame dressing.

Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon steak seasoning, or to taste
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon chili powder, or to taste (Optional)
- 1 (4 pound) package boneless country-style pork ribs
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
- ¼ cup orange juice
- 2 dashes hot pepper sauce, or to taste
Instructions
- Mix together steak seasoning, garlic salt, black pepper, and chili powder in a small bowl until combined. Rub over ribs and place into the bottom of a slow cooker. Pour in barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, orange juice, and hot pepper sauce. Liquid should not cover ribs completely.
- Cook on Low until ribs are tender, about 8 hours.
- This is another one of my recipes that is eyeballed. It can be adjusted easily depending on the size of your slow cooker and how many ribs you are using.

Delicious as written. Do not rush the cooking time. 8 hours in the slow cooker makes the difference though they seem tender at 4-5. All else is flexible. If you don’t like soy sauce, don’t use it. If you don’t have orange juice, try apple or pineapple. Etc. The rub should be a tablespoon or so of dry ingredients, four pinches isn’t enough.
Very Easy to make. Taste great! Served with fluffy potatoes and green beans.
Very tasty but it came out a bit dry! I put it on top of salad with avacado and just a bit of white rice and all together was yummy. Going to take some of the suggestions for less time and browning next time.
This is the best rib recipe I have ever made. I followed the recipe exactly and added a bit of hoisin sauce and sweet chili sauce. So easy, cooked on high for 6 hours and the ribs were perfectly juicy and incredibly flavorful. This is a keeper, I will make it again!! Thank you for posting!
making it now….already smells great
No changes made. Did not have teriyaki sauce on hand so it was omitted. A hit for everyone from 18 months to 63 yrs old. Will definitely make again.
This recipe is very easy to make. I followed the recipe as written. Turned out excellent. I love barbeque but my husband and daugter are not big barbeque eaters. This recipe was a surprising hit with them. It does not have a strong barbeque taste so I warmed and added additional sauce to my serving. My husband added a spicy mustard and my daughter ate as is. I will be making this again soon!
I adapted a little, using less barbecue sauce and more teriyaki sauce, and drying in hot oven briefly, but ribs just turned out ok.
I’ve made this a twice now…and love the taste!! My only suggestion – come up a name that reflects this great dish!!
I had to adapt the recipe due to not having all of the ingredients. But we loved the tangy Asian flavor of these wonderfully soft pork ribs.
Will make it again. Simple.
I thought it was perfect!
very good
I made this as written except I left out that teriyaki sauce because I didn’t have any on hand. The seasoning and taste was great. The ribs, however, dried out. I will definitely make again but probably will not cook as long as the recipe calls for. I think it could be shortened a couple of hours or cooked on high For maybe 3 1/2 hours and the meat wouldn’t be as dry but the taste would still be great.
these were good. however I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt & skipped the black pepper cause there was already so much salt & pepper in the steak seasoning. they turned out delicious!
great the meat falls off the bone i used sugar free bbq sauce as my husband is diabetic
Awesome recipe! The ribs turned out tender with just the right bite to them for zest. This is a keeper. Don’t forget to spray your crock for quick clean up.
This came out perfect! I notoriously over-cook ribs and this was the first time they came out just right. I used a couple different seasonings based on what I had on hand. I left out the teriyaki sauce and put in extra orange juice. I also added some brown sugar to the mixture to give it a little sweetness. I marinated the ribs overnight in the sauce. It came out super delicious!!
My ribs were awesome fall off the bone amazing. Did not use the garlic as it wasn’t necessary. Cooked on low for 8 hours. My family absolutely loved it. Will do it again soon. The sauce was light, little sweet and tangy. We use it as dipping sauce it was just that good!!!
This is a staple in our house the kids love it and gobble it up everytime.. its on the request list.
My family loved them! I only had 3 pounds of ribs, but I probably doubled the rub. The flavor of the rub came through after cooking all day. This will definitely be made again.
