It was ok and tasted great – soy / marmalade mixture was too runny. Next time will mix some brown sugar with the soya and thicken it up – then maybe the sauce will be nice to top with a side of rice or something else
I’m trying this tonight with our freshly butchered pork…. Sides are 4 cheese Mac n cheese and corn on the cob! Chops are marinating now in the sauce…. Letcha know (I reduced the soy sauce, added more marmalade and added garlic)
Because of pancreatic reasons, I can no longer use oils so this recipe was perfect. I only had 2 chops so I used 1/4 cup of marmalade & reduced the soy to 1/8 cup which was plenty. I used a small casserole dish with a lid as someone had suggested. I’ll definitely be making this often. Next time I’ll add a little cornstarch after it comes out of the oven to make the remaining sauce a little thicker.
Easy to prepare, it was very tasty, we enjoyed it. Will definitely make it again.
I enjoyed it very much. I cut way back on the soy sauce and added more orange marmalade jelly.
Very very simple to make the marmalade pork chops and added a dash of garlic and added an orange slice on top of the pork chops when it cooked and was super delicious and very very simple to make.
Only change I made was to add a little more of Orange Marmalade than the 1/2 of cup..pretasted..Awesome!! WE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Great quick and fast prep time Michele Englewood,Co.
Before making this tonight I read some reviews. I love garlic so of course I added some. A little less soy sauce extra marmalade and it was fast & easy to prep. Cooked it for 50 min. Tender, juicy and we all loved it. No left overs so definitely gonna be one of our favorites to make. Love it
Tasted great but would use less soy sauce. Very easy to make.
I like the idea of baking them instead of frying but they were too dry because all the liquid ended up in the pan when they were done.
My wife rated it a 5. Delicious and simple.
I added onion and ginger , and put it in the crock pot…yum.
The recipe was very good , we used a little less soy and added a little honey bbq.
I’ve used this recipe for years and finally decided to give it a long-overdue positive review. I love how simple and tasty this recipe is! Like many other reviewers, I cut down the soy sauce by half. Otherwise this recipe would have been easily a 5-star.
there was way too much soy. Cook time way too long and too hot. Chops were over done and tough!
I really enjoyed these! Very easy and good!
I thought there was too much oy sauce in this recipe.
I used sugar free orange marmalade, and low sodium soy sauce, added a 1/2 teaspoon of ginger, a little pepper, dried minced orange peel, garlic powder, and onion flakes. It was wonderful and had a more Asian flavor.
Good, people in my family got seconds and even thirds! Added 1 teaspoon of brown sugar as 1/2 cup of marmalade wasn’t enough (but didn’t have more) & used only 1/3 cup soy sauce. So I would suggest 3/4 or 1 cup marmalade.
Very bland and a complete disappointment.
I normally don’t review a recipe unless I’ve followed it to a T, which I didn’t here. But I just had to share the changes I made to this already awesome recipe! I can’t stop cooking this, it’s so yummy and easy! What I did: Used Robertson’s Ginger Marmalade, light soy (reduced sodium), added garlic powder, a splash of wine (whatever’s handy) and a touch of brown sugar. Before combining in the baking dish I coated the chops in flour and seared them in a pan for 1-2 minutes per side. OMG sooo good!
