A quick, simple, and flavorful method to prepare boneless pork chops is to make these honey-mustard chops.
Prep Time: | 10 mins |
Cook Time: | 20 mins |
Total Time: | 30 mins |
Servings: | 4 |
Ingredients
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 ½ pounds center-cut boneless pork chops – 1/2-inch thick
- garlic powder, or to taste
Instructions
- Mix honey and mustard together in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and sprinkle with 1/2 of the garlic powder; cook until browned, about 3 minutes. Turn chops over, sprinkle with remaining garlic powder and cook for 3 more minutes.
- Brush honey-mustard sauce over chops, turn them over, and cook for 5 minutes; turn chops onto the other side and brush with honey-mustard sauce. Cook until chops are no longer pink inside and an instant-read meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a chop reads 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), about 5 more minutes.
- Please note the addition of some spices and fresh herbs when using the magazine version of this recipe.

Reviews
My chops were ok, but a little flavorless and very dry. Maybe I did something wrong since nobody else mentions overcooking, but I didn’t cook them nearly as long as the recipe says. I’ll retry it at a shorter cook time since DH liked the flavor and it’s a nice change from boring fried pork chops.
Quite easy and tasty! Will make again! Love the flavor!
Very good! Not sure why some reviews state that this recipe has no flavor, because I strongly disagree. I followed the recipe exactly except that I added salt and pepper. The chops were moist and very flavorful. Will definitely make again.
Made this for the first time tonight. It was really delicious. I will definitely make again.
Not enough flavor. I even followed some suggestions from other comments. I added red pepper flakes and salt, and still blah. Also reduced the cooking time by 2 minutes after applying the sauce.
Very easy and quick recipe yet beautiful flavours. It will become a recurring dish at my house!
Used very think chops, sprinkled with garlic pepper blend, cooked 2 minutes per side, brushed with honey mixture (I added red pepper) cooked 3 minutes longer. Had good flavor and easy to make
Add veg stock cube
Very easy. Chops were tender and delicious.
quick, easy, yummy
no changes at all, delicious, quick and a treat for the tase buds
Easy and oh soooo yummy! I rubbed my pork chops with Penzy’s Ozark spice mix and minced garlic and seared them. Placed them in 9×13 pyrex dish and poured the honey mustard over them. Covered the dish with foil and baked in the oven. Since I had extra sauce (I doubled the amount of mustard and honey) I tossed potatoes in the mixture with a little olive oil and roasted them on a cookie sheet.
The cooking times are not accurate. Heat butter on medium high, then turn down to medium low. And be careful not to turn pork chops into shoe soles. Taste is good but cooking time terrible.
I was great very tasty.
After reading some of the reviews, I lowered the temperature and the cooking time after I brushed the pork chops with the honey mustard sauce. It is a good thing that I did that because the meat was done a couple of minutes after I brushed the sauce on. My husband said that they were dry, but I didn’t think so. Used salt & fresh ground pepper instead of garlic powder due to dietary restrictions. They were OK, I probably will not make this again.
Delicious this is my second time making this recipe. However I did use magazine version with red pepper flakes which makes it just a little spicy, if you like it that way.
I’ve made this twice following the recipe exactly. It’s THE recipe. Chops are moist & flavorful. what else could I want?
The chop came out overcooked using the time given. Too honey, not enough mustard. This might be better with chicken. I won’t be making it again.
Omg, it was delicious! I particularly don’t like honey, but I wanted to try something new, and I liked it too much and mine didn’t have honey tasted, but was bittersweet. U that is reading need to try it too!
This recipe is super easy to make, especially since it uses four ingredients that I already had in my pantry/fridge (honey, yellow mustard, butter and garlic powder). The pork chops tasted delicious. I used a thinner cut of pork chop, so they were fully cooked in less time (about 8 minutes instead of 13).
So easy to make. I had Dijon mustard and added a bit of agave for sweetness. Delicious! I made it in my stovetop skillet and the pork stayed moist.
