Garlic-Seasoned Baked Pork Chops

  4.2 – 160 reviews  • Baked

Any kind of pork chops, even bone-in chops, can be used to make these delectable butterflied chops. I’m not permitted to make pork chops any other way because my spouse adores them so much. For a delicious supper, serve them with some creamy mashed potatoes and a veggie.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  2. 1 large egg, beaten
  3. 2 tablespoons milk
  4. 4 (5 ounce) butterflied pork chops, trimmed
  5. 2 pinches garlic powder, divided
  6. 2 pinches seasoned salt, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Brush butter over the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Whisk egg and milk together in a shallow bowl. Dip pork chops into egg mixture, then place into the prepared baking dish. Season with a pinch each of garlic powder and seasoned salt.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Flip chops and season the other side with garlic powder and seasoned salt as before. Continue to cook until pork is no longer pink in the center, about 10 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Best pork chops ever. So moist. I used garlic salt instead of powder

Pretty basic pork chop recipe. Nothing that really stands out. There is no significant garlic flavor.

Delicious! Thanx very much for sharing this recipe

Delicious! Super easy and quick! I cheated and used boxed scalloped potatoes and had some vegetables on the side, but it would be great with fresh mashed potatoes even! I used two boneless butterfly pork chops. If I had made 4 chops, I maybe would’ve used more butter!

When my picky son says “Wow! these are amazing” and I’m thinking “Wow this was easy”. It’s a win.

Delicious, simple and fast! Was a perfect choice for us last night! I actually grilled it rather than baking it.

I didn’t use Milk in mine and they tasted just fine, I added Garlic salt. Next time I might add basil. I cooked it in a conventional Oven

Loved it.! Yummy. Next time I might pan sear it first before I put it in the oven, give it some color.

We did not care for this recipe at all. Make this if you like the taste of nothing and the texture of boiled meat. Would make again if for someone I didn’t like.

Turned out great! I used garlic powder vs. garlic salt, and added dried rosemary and fresh ground black pepper. Yummy!!!

Very easy to make, tastes like mom used to make them. A+ from the family with a busy schedule.

Okay I hit done too soon the first time i wrote this! This was really good and quick and easy for a weeknight. Do NOT over cook the pork chops. I used one of Penzey’s Spices blends – 33rd and Galena Chicken and Pork rub and granulated garlic. I also basted them when I flipped them. Served with garlic rice and a chopped salad. Use a digital thermometer so you can monitor them closely.

Simple and delicious. I didn’t butterfly the pork chops, so I cooked them longer, but still so moist and tender.

No changes. Pork chops were moist and I definitely will make it again!

I had very thick pork chops and felt they were a tad over cooked so I would shorten the time just a bit. Otherwise they were very good!

Put this in a glass dish before the first 10 minutes the dish was in piece’s in the oven. I think it would have been great.
