Actually, these cookies are merely energy bars disguised as cookies. They are rich, crispy around the edges, and have a nutty, savory flavor. They are also jam-packed with healthy components. After a tough day at work, take one of these cookies for a quick pick-me-up. You can refer to them as adult chocolate chip cookies.

Ingredients
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
- 1 lime, juiced
- cracked black pepper to taste
- 8 boneless pork chops, 1/2 inch thick
Instructions
- Whisk together the vegetable oil, apple cider vinegar, seafood seasoning, minced garlic, basil, lime juice, and black pepper in a bowl, and pour into a resealable plastic bag. Add the pork chops, coat with the marinade, squeeze out excess air, and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours, flipping periodically.
- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil the grate. Remove the pork chops from the bags. Discard excess marinade.
- Grill until the pork is no longer pink in the center, 5 to 7 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

Reviews
We liked these pork chops. They had a nice subtle flavor and didn’t overpower the pork flavor. Will make these again.
I didnt have a fresh lime, so Alexa guided me to a 2 tablespoon equivalent. That is the only change i made. The dominant taste of the meat was “sour”. Overwhelming vinegar taste. My wife, who is not fussy, wouldnt eat it. She said it was also dry, tough, and she couldnt get past the vinegar either. I expected more of an Old Bay flavor, but barely noticed it. This is also my first negative review of a recipe here.
Made according to recipe. Excellent flavor, moist and will make again.
Made these pork chops a few times now followed instructions and they’ve turned out great every time.
Our chops turned out moist and juicy but, alas, not much of the Old Bay flavor. I marinated the chops 6 hours then, following the advice of other writers, I also sprinkled more Old Bay on the chops on the grill. Next time, I’ll increase the Old Bay in both the marinade and on the grill. Neither my wife nor I detected any objectionable smell or taste from the apple cider vinegar – in fact, we thought it was quite faint. We were expecting more based on the numerous comments. Other than grilling longer to allow for our 1 1/2 inch thick chops, we followed the recipe. This is a good-not-great marinade. I hope that increasing the Old Bay will noticeably improve it.
Good recipe! I love Old Bay seasoning so I think I might add to the amount next time.
To much vinegar for me. I would double the old bay and half the vinegar next time.
Just followed the recipe
The first thing I want to mention is this recipe does not do as well with pork loin chops- loin is simply too dry a cut to not have a marinade to break down the fibers. You would be well advised to get a slightly fattier cut of chop to make it tastier. The marinade is very light and should be used the maximum amount of time possible. I read some people’s opinion regarding the Old Bay being overpowering but I don’t know how that could be with this recipe, even if you added slightly more. I was unable to taste the Old Bay in the marinade but it was fine once lightly sprinkled on the chops. Don’t do this until the chops are warming as opposed to cooking, you don’t want to burn the spices. I think this was a more unusual recipe, simple, and I will be trying it again with those few changes.
Delicious! The only change I made was to use thick cut (1 1/4″) chops. My wife, who does not usually like pork, loved them!
Wonderful twist to pork chops. Not an Old Bay person but I am with this!. I can see this with chicken too.
The pork chops had great flavor but were very dry, and I made it exactly as the recipe directed.
Amazing! My family loved these. At least one of my teens always dislikes something but these were a unanimous favorite, even with hubby. This is our new go to pork chop recipe.
Was good but really nothing unique.
Came out great, very juicy. For stronger Old Bay flavor I would double the amount in the marinade and dust with more just before serving. Served over orzo.
Definitely will make again. Hubbie and I both loved it. We used thick pork loin chops 1-1/2″
We loved this recipe. I only marinated about 20 minutes. I cooked it in the marinade in the oven. Turned out great. I didn’t use all the vinegar but I will next time and I used more Old Bay seasoning. I will be making this again!!
I definitely will make it again! I plan to try it with chicken breast and venison. Great flavors!!
Fantastic, I was a little skeptical due to the smell before cooking due to the vinegar, but it came out top notch!
I made this indoors in a cast iron pan. It turned out amazingly well. My girlfriend (who loves pork chops) says these are the best she’s ever had.
For all of the seasoning in this, there was almost no flavor.
