Ingredients
- 15 pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup sliced jarred red peppers, drained
- 1 plum tomato, sliced into rounds
- 6 slices (6 ounces) sliced mozzarella
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar
- 6 slices provolone
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 pound store-bought pizza dough
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced into thin rings
- 1/2 yellow pepper, sliced into thin rings
- Fresh basil, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat a 12-inch, well-seasoned cast-iron skillet over a low heat. Lay the pepperoni slices on the bottom of the skillet. Top with the roasted peppers and tomato slices. Arrange the mozzarella over the veggies and pepperoni, then sprinkle with the Cheddar and lay on the provolone. Spoon the marinara sauce over the cheese and spread it around.
- Press the dough out into a circle slightly larger than the skillet. Lay the dough on top of the sauce and carefully tuck the edges down the sides of the skillet. Place in the oven and cook until the crust is golden brown, about 25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let sit for a few minutes. Very carefully, place a large plate or platter over the top of the skillet and invert the pizza onto the plate. Garnish with the red and yellow pepper rings and tear the basil leaves over the top.

I’ve made this twice now. It was delicious both times. The first time the pizza stuck to the skillet, but after reading the suggestion of letting the dish sit for a minute after taking it out of the oven and then running a knife around the edges, it came out perfectly, and BOY was it delicious. I can’t wait to make it for my son who is away at college.
I made this last night for my mom & me. So easy once I realized I had to run a knife around the edges! Popped right out and had a thick, fluffy crust which is my favorite!
Easy to make I used sausage instead of pepperoni. Next time I would cook it longer
But my family loved it
But my family loved it
Not worth the effect. Very messy and not easy to get out of pan.
I changed out a couple of the toppings. But it came out beautifully! Will definitely make this again.
I love all pizza! This was fun to make and a little different than the usual. Will definitely make it again ❤️
This is my 2nd time making this pizza and both times I had to make 2 versions of a meat lovers one with onions, peppers,& mushrooms and one without. This recipe is great I do adjust the ingredients to our liking but it’s a hit with the entire family.
This tasted really good, but it was so messy! My husband and I had a really hard time getting it out of the pan. The cheese ended up getting stuck to the bottom and we had to scrape it out. Not sure I would make it again.
Easy and delicious
So great! Little messy. Make sure the dough is cooked all the way because mine was a little doughy in the middle. But I actually really liked it that way!
