Ingredients
- Olive oil, for brushing
- One 16-ounce bag frozen broccoli tots, defrosted
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken
- 1 cup frozen broccoli florets, defrosted and chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Line the bottom of a baking sheet with parchment and brush with olive oil.
- In a medium bowl, add the broccoli tots and Parmesan. Break up the tots with your hands or a wooden spoon and mix until combined. Transfer the tot mixture to the prepared baking sheet and use your hands to form the mixture into a circle, making sure it isn’t too thick. Bake the crust until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- Spread the ricotta on the crust and top with the chicken and broccoli. Top with the mozzarella and return to oven until the cheese is completely melted, about 10 more minutes. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

Added some carmalized onion seasoning to the crust while mixing. . Gave it more flavor. I was disappointed the crust didn’t get crispy even with the 25 minute bake time and mine was only about 1/8” thick. Used almost two pre-cooked chicken breast with seasoning and the rest of the recipe as stated. Flavor was very good. Broccoli was cooked just right. Although not a broccoli lover, husband like it also. I’d like to know what size pan the author of this recipe used and was it a pizza stone pan to make it more crisp?
Perfect recipe I loved the idea of broccoli as a pizza base❤️❤️I added my own toppings and that’s the best part you can add whatever to this crust❤️ must try it
LOVE this!!! I used broccoli and cheese tater tots, Alfredo sauce, chicken and broccoli and cauliflower topping with shredded cheese. I will be making this a lot!
I thought this was great! I’m not a huge fan of broccoli tots but I really enjoy trying different styles of pizza! I used part of a chicken breast I had cooked in a crock pot.
Just made this, followed recipe, only difference was put tot crust in preheated oiled pan, gave a better crust. Wonderful idea to build off of. TOT crust, ingenious, enjoy building the toppings, endless creations, enjoy!!!
I loved this! What a nice option to use tots as the crust. Sadly I cannot find broccoli tots anymore at the 2 stores I shop at. I suppose I could try cauliflower bacon cheese tots next time.

Thank you, Chef Marcela, for sharing this recipe with us. After trying this alternative to dough, I can honestly say that my family won’t mind if I NEVER order regular pizza again! I have to say that the only adjustment I made (and it was based on availability) was that I bought “broccoli and cheese” tots. Also, I topped my broccoli crust with Italian Seasoning just before baking it. Other than that, I followed the recipe and wow! Great flavor. The crust was just firm enough. A true winner that will be a staple in my house! Thank you so much!
Gotta like the taste of broccoli with this one, because it mostly tastes like that. If the crust is good and crunchy, it’s the best part.
