Great idea! I would prefer it with a refrigerated brand of Alfredo sauce like Rana, however.
This recipe is basically the same as all other “creamy salmon”. I tried several and this one is as good as any other. When I don’t have time to make a fancy meal, and my family is hungry NOW, this is a good meal. Simple, tasty, and enjoyable. Not everyone can be a recipe snob, so to counteract the snobby one made in 2018, I’ll give this 5 stars.
This is such a lazy recipe. Practically just an assemble-and-serve list of steps. I know that not everyone wants to make homemade alfredo sauce (actually very easy), but this recipe does not transform any of the ingredients.
Instead, try:
1. In a oven-safe frying pan, heat pan until barely smoking and place salmon skin side down, then season with salt and pepper. Place pan in broiler and broil until salmon is medium rare.
2. Remove salmon from pan and sautéed onions on medium heat with residual oil in same pan. When onions become translucent, add lemon juice, peas, and alfredo sauce and heat until hot.
3. Add al dente pasta to the pan and toss until fully combined.
4. Serve with salmon, skin side up, over pasta.
