Bow Tie Pasta with Smoked Salmon Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup Crisco® Pure Canola Oil or 1/2 cup Crisco® Puritan Canola Oil with Omega-3 DHA
  2. 4 to 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  3. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  4. 1 lb. bow tie pasta, uncooked
  5. 3 tbsps. fresh lemon juice
  6. 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  7. 1/4 cup chopped Italian parsley (plus more for garnish)
  8. 1/2 lb. sliced smoked salmon
  9. Salt and pepper
  10. Thin lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. HEAT oil in a skillet over low heat; add garlic and onion. Cook until soft. Set aside.
  2. COOK pasta according to package directions; drain well. Put pasta back in the pot it was cooked in. Add garlic and onion mixture; mix well. Add lemon juice, green onions, parsley and salmon; mix well again.
  3. SEASON with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with Italian parsley and lemon slices, if desired.

Too dry and too mild taste…

This was delish! I didn’t use the Italian Parsley but subbed dill instead. I also didn’t add the green onions because my boys aren’t partial to them. Even with the substitution and elimination of the two ingredients it was still really, really good. My husband and sons loved it and so did I.
